ECFH Honours Staff Loyalty and Dedication

Recently, East Caribbean Financial Holding Company Limited (ECFH) hosted its final official event for 2010. However, it did not take the customary form of the annual Christmas staff awards and dinner due to an organizational decision to forego the event this year. ECFH’s management and staff opted to donate the funds usually allocated for the Christmas dinner to the Hurricane Tomas relief effort which is still ongoing. Instead, the company chose to honour its long serving employees in a less lavish but significant ceremony held at its head office on Bridge Street on December 14.

Approximately 30 staff members were honoured for serving the company for between 10 and 30 years. In his remarks at the ceremony, Group Managing Director, Mr. Robert Norstrom, said that he was particularly grateful to these employees who had given such dedicated service to the company. He commended them for making ECFH their employer of choice for so many years and he praised their loyalty and commitment to the organization.

Each of the awardees was given a formal letter of recognition in addition to a financial reward for his/her years of service. The ECFH Group employs 470 persons and has seven subsidiaries, the largest of which is Bank of Saint Lucia Limited which has 5 branches spread across the island.
