ECFH Major Sponsor of Castries Football Youth League

ECFH continued to push its youth development agenda when on Tuesday, March 24th, it handed over a cheque of $10,000.00 to the Castries Football Council (CFC) for its Youth Football League set to get underway this Saturday, March 28th, at the Vigie Playing Field.  The handover took place as part of a press conference held to launch the league at the headquarters of the Civil Service Association.

The CFC is an organization that is committed to the development of young local football talent and states its vision as "...to develop and execute programmes that will allow its affiliates to become the leading resource pool for selection to the National Teams by 2012'.  ECFH's considerable contribution moves the CFC closer to realizing this vision as its gets ready to host three months of football competition for youngsters ranging from the Under-11 to Under-16 categories.

Players will be drawn from approximately 14 teams, clubs and academies and the playing venues are the Castries Comprehensive Secondary School, Vigie Playing Field, La Clery Playing Field and the Saint Mary's College.  CFC has pledged that its Youth Football League will not be about winning at all costs but rather about inculcating in the young players discipline, teamwork and then enjoyment of playing the sport.  It is for this reason that ECFH has given this venture such tangible support as it represents the core values of the Group's Corporate Social Responsibility Policy as it relates to youth development.
