ECFH Commits $300,000 to Rebuilding St. Jude’s
East Caribbean Financial Holding Company (ECFH), parent company of Bank of Saint Lucia and EC Global Insurance, has pledged $300,000.00 to the reconstruction of St. Jude’s Hospital in Vieux Fort. The company has established the ECFH-St. Jude Rebuilding Fund in this regard. The entire surgical department and other sections of the hospital were completely destroyed by a major fire during the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
Chairman of ECFH, Mr. Victor Eudoxie, says that the company’s donation demonstrates its desire to see the hospital rebuilt as soon as possible and that its services be restored in the shortest possible time. He emphasized that ECFH was committed to being a part of the rebuilding and recovery process for the St. Jude’s hospital which is indispensable to the people of the south. At the heart of ECFH’s corporate social responsibility policy is a genuine concern and commitment to the social well-being of all Saint Lucians, and so restoring the St. Jude’s Hospital to the community is of critical significance to the Group.
ECFH is the parent company of Bank of Saint Lucia which has a Vieux Fort branch and it will also be making its contribution to the hospital’s recovery effort. In fact, all the branches of Bank of Saint Lucia will be playing their part in ensuring that St. Jude’s gets back on its feet as quickly as possible.
