Nick Elibox - Cricket Prodigy  

NICK ELIBOX - CRICKET PRODIGY

Nick Elibox is one of St Lucia's rising cricket hopefuls.  He absolutely loves the sport and for the past five years he has been busy honing his skills.  Nick is no slouch with the bat.  He scored a century in senior cricket when he was just 14.  A graduate of the Castries Comprehensive Secondary, the 17-year old has gotten the chance to study and play cricket at Woodhouse Grove School in the UK thanks to the intervention of acclaimed cricket commentator, Joseph "Reds" Perreira.  Nick wants to play for the West Indies Cricket Team or, alternatively, become an accountant.  Along with cricket, he enjoys reading and going to the gym.

Jordan Aleksi Augier - Top Swimmer and National Record Holder  

JORDAN ALEKSI AUGIER - TOP SWIMMER AND NATIONAL RECORD HOLDER

Jordan is one of St Lucia's top competitive swimmers.  In 2014 the 21-year old made history by becoming the first St Lucian male swimmer to reach a semi-final at the XX 2014 Commonwealth Games in Scotland.  In 2015 he proved himself again by becoming the first St Lucian male swimmer to make it to a Pan Am Games B Final in Canada.  He competed in the 100m men's freestyle, finishing 5th in his heat.  His time of 50.82 seconds set a new national record for St Lucia.  A graduate of Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary, he currently attends the University of Tampa and GTSA, USA.  Jordan aspires to become an IMF economist.

Ariel Albert - Top Common Entrance Performer 2015  

ARIEL ALBERT - TOP COMMON ENTRANCE PERFORMER 2015

Twelve-year old Ariel is a St Lucian academic star.  She was adjudged the 2015 Top Common Entrance Performer.  Unlike many kids her age, her favourite subject is Mathematics.  Ariel dreams of becoming an entrepreneur.  Her mother is her hero. She admires her for her hard work and dedication, and because she inspires her to be a good student.  Ariel has advice for students about writing exams: "study, work hard and practice everything you may have difficulties with."  Her favourite quote is, "The fundamental cure for poverty is not money but education," by Sir Arthur Lewis. 

Rachel Chong - Genius and Engineering Student  

RACHEL CHEONG - GENIUS AND ENGINEERING STUDENT

Rachel is St Lucia's 2014 Island Scholar.  She received distinctions in Chemistry, Biology and Physics at SALCC.  Prior to that, she attained 10 Grade One CXC passes at St Joseph's Convent and won several awards.  She wants to become an engineer.

Jeannine Alana Bertin - Law Student and Future Forensic Psychologist

In 2014 SALCC presented Jeannine with an award for Academic Excelence. She was also awarded an Island Scholarship.  Jeannine is currenlty studying law at the Universite des Antilles in Martinique.

Kimberly Mathurin - Artist and Fashion Designer

KIMBERLY MATHURIN - ARTIST AND FASHION DESIGNER

Kimberly is one of St Lucia's leading fashion designers.  Born in the USA to St Lucian parents, she has spent half her life in St Lucia and has won acclaim for her fashion designing skills.  Kimberly says her love for the creative world of fashion propelled her to take up the profession full time.  She now runs a successful business.  She enjoys experimenting with different concepts and connecting with people to make sure she gets things right.  Kimberly also has a passion for humanitarian work and supports organizations dedicated to helping the needy and providing relief during times of disaster.

Darnell Wilson - Top Male CXC Achiever 2015  

DARNELL WILSON - TOP MALE CXC ACHIEVER 2015

Darnell is an outstanding scholar and, by any measure, a potential genius.  A former student of St Mary's College, he made history after securing 9 Grade Ones in teh 2014 CXC Exams and 21 overall CXC passes in 2015.  He's St Lucia's current CXC record holder.  Darnell is also a whiz at Math.  He credits his success in part to his ability to be open-minded and being someone who is keen to listen, observe and understand.  Darnell wants to do nano-engineering or become an Aeronautical Engineer, and proves by example that anyone can achieve their dreams if they set their mind to it and work diligently.

Nina Roheman - Top Female Performer, CAPE 2015  

NINA ROHEMAN - TOP FEMALE PERFORMER, CAPE 2015

Following her sterling performance in the 2015 CAPE Exams, Nina was named the Top Female Performer.  The 19-year old from Bonne Terre attained 3 Distinctions and a Grade Two at the CAPE Exams and 9 Grade One passes at the CSEC Exams, including 7 Distinctions.  She says determination and preparation are key to her success and urges students to be steadfast and self driven if they wish to succeed in school.  Nina, whose mom is a lawyer, says she wants to be the founder and leading lawyer of a top legal firm with branches in several countries.  She wants to focus on criminal law.

Ronaldo Degazon - Top Male Performer, CAPE 2015  

RONALDO DEGAZON - TOP MALE PERFORMER, CAPE 2015

Ronaldo is the proud recipient of the 2014 National Award for Excellence.  The St Mary's College graduate earned 13 Grade Ones in the 2014 CSEC Exams and 9 Grade Ones in CAPE.  He was the 2013 Valedictorian and Student of the Year at SMC.  In 2008 he ranked 4th in the island at the Common Entrance Exams.  Ronaldo was the 2007 RC Jam Calypson and Soca Monarch and a member of the 2006 and 2008 Panorama Champions, Diamond Steel.  He was a writer for Sporte Avis Magazine.  He recently gained admission to the University of Pennsylvania.  Ronaldo plans to continue contributing to regional sports, through writing, activism and community service.

Meggan Dawn William - Tennis Phenom  

MEGGAN DAWN WILLIAM - TENNIS PHENOM

Meggan is passionate about tennis.  Born in Grande Riviere, Gros Islet she was introduced to the sport at the tender age of 3 and has been playing amateur tennis since she was 11.  Now 14, she has chalked up some impressive achievements. She won all the tournaments she played at in 2015 and is now the # 3 ranked Junior Tennis Player in Latin America and the Caribbean.  Meggan wants to become a professional tennis player or, alternatively, a paediatrician.  She's a fan of the Williams Sisters and Roger Federer and, like them, wants to serve as a role model to others.  She also enjoys swimming, riding, running and listening to music.

Wendy John - Certified Scuba Diver and Marine Conservation Activist

WENDY JOHN - CERTIFIED SCUBA DIVER AND MARINE CONSERVATION ACTIVIST

Wendy's passion is scuba diving.  At age 11 she went on a primary school field trip aboard a glass-bottom boat and this ignited a yearning to pursue a career in marine work.  Wendy is now a certified scuba diver and marine conservation activist and works for Eastern Caribbean Divers, at Windjammer.  She enjoys exploring underwater forests and discovering new worlds and learning from her diving experiences.  Her motto is keep moving forward and never give up.  Wendy says her mom is her hero.  She inspired her and encouraged her to believe in her dream.  Wendy's hobbies are reading, diving and underwater photography.

Rochad Kiedel Sonny - Professional Videographer/Cinematographer  

ROCHAD KIEDEL SONNY - PROFESSIONAL VIDEOGRAPHER/CINEMATOGRAPHER

Rochad, 21, is a professional videographer/cinematographer who is fast making a name for himself in the local video business.  He shoots and edits short films, music videos and advertisements.  Rochad took up videography when he was 16 and soon became popular on social media with his unique brand of video comedy, especially on Facebook.  He and some his friends later formed a video production company called Evolution Entertainment.  In 2014 they won a National Arts Festival award for a play written by Rochad entitled "Mange Cochon".  Rochad's hero is his dad who encouraged him to do what he loves and to pursue videography.

Curmiah Lisette - Aspiring Model, Poet, Actress  

CURMIAH LISETTE - ASPIRING MODEL, POET, ACTRESS

Curmiah is a St Lucian-born, London-raised model, actress, poet and dancer.  A lover of the literary and performing arts since she was a child she has gone onto become a super-talented performer.  Curmiah is driven by a desire to visualise emotions through words and to connect with people emotionally through her performances.  Brimming with confidence, she credits her success to hard work and her determination to excel at her craft.  She was the recipient of the Outstanding Youth in Literary Arts award and the Outstanding Youth in Performing Arts award in St Lucia's 2014 National Youth Awards.
